The Rainbow Rally at the Pride Wairau Festival saw 200 attendees braving the rain to promote health, fitness, and community spirit along the scenic Taylor River. Despite the weather, the event was inclusive and engaging, featuring local drag queen Cherry Poppins and George the diesel locomotive from Blenheim Riverside Railway. A karakia closed the festival, honoring the whenua and tangata whenua, making the rally a memorable and joyous conclusion to the festivities.
